How to talk to Russian women over the phone.
Women adore telephones. For some of them, a phone receiver in one hand and a glass of wine in the other is an equivalent of us playing billiards. For guys, phone is simply next gadzhet, which we use rarely, and as less as possible. When we ring, we feel like fish on the land. Probably, for this reason we’re a bit frightened to give a call to a girl.
But the point is that we need to give a phone call to be successful with Russian women. To help you in this most frightening area of acquaintance, we’ve made up some basic rules of phone calls:
Wait for two days…
The first rule concerns when it is time to ring. If you call early, she will be disappointed, if you call too late, she can lose interest in you. And though some consider, that time must be exact (approximately an hour), you have some space for a maneuver.
If you’ve just taken her phone number, wait at least for two days before a call. It is not necessary to call just the next day, simply to tell her you are interested. But do not wait too long. If you call in four days, she’ll be either too angry with you, or just forget about you.
There is nothing more insulting, than attempt to refresh the memories of the evening of your acquaintance with something like: "We’ve got acquainted recently. Do you remember that lively guy in a dark blue tie...? “
When you enter the phase of dates, this phone call should be more relaxed. After a date it is necessary to give a call in a couple of days. And no sense to appoint next date, simply thank her for the time spent with her. It also gives an opportunity to raise her personal interest in you.
You should have some reason…
This rule means that there ALWAYS must be a reason for a phone call. Women like talking over the phone for hours, but they must do it with their friends, not with you.
Think about some purpose and give her a call, perhaps, just to specify something. For example, if she’s fond of fashion, you can ask her advice concerning clothes. During the talk do not digress from the topic of the conversation. Do not allow her to twist the situation.
It can start as a simple mention about new sushi-bar, and finish as a talk about all fishing trips her father took her with. In three months (or near that) phone calls can become more spontaneous.
You should still have some reason, but not as serious as on the early stages. You can call her and tell about the movie you’ve just watched, how your business trip was, however it’s still forbidden to tell her that you call just to hear her voice.
If you really want just to hear her voice, think of some reason, regardless of how transparent it will be, as it will only please her.
Following the topic of the conversation, imagine that you talk to your friend: "Beer. Eight clock. Bye". Women need contents of the talk, so-called its filling.
Try to be brief
But if there’s no reason to call, what can you talk to her about? As an ideal, you ring to arrange your date. Be sweet and brief. Do not forget that it is a rehearsal before a date. However in the real world she may want to talk longer.
Satisfy her desire, but do not forget about the following rule: be brief so she’ll wish to talk to you again.
And though you called her, try not to dominate in a talk. Do not forget about humor, but at the same time do not abuse it, otherwise you will look as a clown. No sense to grumble about the work, tell about lost soccer match of your favorite team or lots of money lost by you – leave these talks for your friends in a pub. Do not tell her about your fear or hopes, sitting in an arm-chair up to the end of the day. The best thing you can do is talk about her.
You have her phone number, you knew a bit about her, now try to talk exactly about what you know. Ask simple questions about her work, friends, how she spent her day.
The cool thing is that you can answer similar questions with something like “yes” or “hm” and continue playing computer. Don’t be afraid to dwell on some topic, if she wants to talk longer about it.
Try to hang up first
It has become a cliché – try to do that way she’d want again. The key point is that you should hang up first. The worst variant is if she talks to herself and stops the conversation first.
It is not necessary to be too rough, but you should finish talk when you wish it.
At the beginning of the talk you should make her understand that a call will be brief. You should make up some apology in advance. Arrange time and place of date, pretend
someone stands behind the door or you’ve just returned from a gym and need to take a shower.
When you’re ready, tell her your purpose and hang up. You can even set clock to five minutes, and once it’s time, you finish talking.
The rule of phone calls concerning the brevity of the talk is very important and has one more reason: women adore talking over the phone with their FRIENDS, and if time of your talk exceeds time spent for a talk about a date, there is always a danger to get in so-called "area of friends".
By the way, do not allow such situation as “you hang up” or “no, you are first ". Just say "ok" and hang up, if she wants to play this game.
Leave messages
If you faced her answering machine, do not leave a message after first attempt. Wait for one day, not to look despairing or aggressive before the second attempt, however this time leave a message.
Try to be as brief and safe as possible, which means that you shouldn’t be too amused, hardly will answering machine tell all shades of your message which you implied.
Do not try too hard, talk as usual. Always suppose that her friends (or even her parents) sit next to her and can hear you. Always ask her to call back. And if she won’t call you, probably, she avoids you.
Text messages
Nowadays we use non-verbal means of communication more. There is nothing strange to ask a Russian girl for her e-mail address and talk to her via it.
However rules change a bit here. Absence of voice, time and different term of reply - all these forms of communication can be a virtual minefield.
As in the case of usual phone talk, try to make your text messages as short as possible, talk about the subject you contact her immediately, ask her to reply.
Do not try too often to use such means of communication; try to talk on the phone as quickly as possible. It’s more real for the next date. You can use sms to arrange time and place of the next date.
Do not forget that such messages are delivered within a couple of seconds all over the world; that’s why no sense to send anything "embarrassing". Smiles appear to be the electronic equivalents of expressions of human face, therefore use them to show that you are surprised, joke, admire, etc.
Hung up?
Not every phone talk passes successfully; some of them remain without reply. Remember that the most difficult part is to get her phone number. As soon as you get it, she’ll be waiting for your call. So set clock, remember these rules and dial up.
